Remote ADHD jobs in the UK

The short answer

Most remote ADHD work in the UK sits in independent assessment and titration services: video-based adult assessments, remote prescriber clinics, and online coaching. Children's and young people's services are less often fully remote because they need school information and, frequently, in-person contact.

Why so much of this work went remote

Adult ADHD assessment is an interview and a history. It transferred to video cleanly, and independent providers built national caseloads on the back of that, which is why geography matters far less than it used to for these roles.

Remote delivery also lets providers recruit clinicians who could never travel to a clinic, which is a large part of how assessment capacity grew.

What remote employers screen for

Independent working, written communication, and reliable throughput. Remote services measure completed assessments and completed reports, not hours logged.

Data handling matters more than people expect: clinical notes, recordings and reports move through your home setup, so employers ask about it early.

Questions

Common questions

01
Are remote ADHD assessor jobs genuinely home-based?
Adult assessment roles in the independent sector frequently are, including supervision. Some contracts still require occasional in-person clinical governance meetings.
02
Is remote ADHD work paid less?
Not systematically. Sessional remote assessment rates are comparable to in-clinic rates, and remote prescriber clinics are often paid at the same hourly rate as on-site work.
