What the fee covers

ProblemShared publishes what the forthcoming private adult assessment includes: no GP referral needed, a full written report, a clinician talk-through of the results, the option to use its medication service if clinically right, and post-assessment videos and resource packs. It publishes no fee for medication appointments, prescriptions or the medication itself, so what is excluded in cost terms cannot be stated.

The pathway they publish

Assessment format

Online assessment with a qualified clinician, followed by a separate online feedback session in which the clinician explains the outcome, then a detailed written report with recommendations, resources and next steps within four to six weeks of the assessment.

A 120-minute assessment session length is published on the children and young people page rather than the adult page.

Follow-up and review model

Medication reviews every three to four weeks during titration, with up-to-date blood pressure, weight and pulse readings required before each review; specialist nurses typically review monthly until the dose is right. For those who receive a diagnosis, published post-diagnostic support is psychoeducation group sessions.

Referral route

The forthcoming private adult route needs no GP referral. The children and young people service requires referral by a GP through a partnered NHS service, university or insurer.

Our note on this provider

ProblemShared is the trading name of Teledoctor Limited, a fully online mind healthcare provider that has run NHS, university and insurer ADHD pathways for several years and is now opening a self-pay adult route. Its regulated status is the clearest part of the record: Teledoctor Limited is a CQC-registered provider and its registered location was rated Good overall, and Outstanding for responsiveness, at its first inspection. The medication and shared care pages are unusually specific for a private provider: titration reviews every three to four weeks over roughly twelve to sixteen weeks, physical observations required before each review, and a plain statement that not all GPs accept shared care. What is missing matters just as much. As at the date of this review the private adult assessment is published as coming soon rather than bookable, and no fee is published anywhere on the site for the assessment, medication appointments, prescriptions or the medication itself. Figures circulating elsewhere have not been recorded here because ProblemShared does not publish them. There is also no private self-pay route for children: the children and young people service is reached only through an NHS, university, insurer or partner referral, and ProblemShared says it cannot yet offer child assessments through Right to Choose. Anyone comparing on price should treat this record as incomplete on cost until the provider publishes one.
