Adults or children

Both, on separate pathways: ADHD for adults aged 18 and over, and ADHD for children aged 6 to 17.

Online or in person

Remote only. Assessments are video consultations with an ADHD specialist; the site publishes no in-person clinic, and patients are told to attend from a private space, not a vehicle.

Medication and titration

Yes. After a treatment consultation (£90), a one-month prescription and titration step starts from £145, with mandatory titration feedback forms; more than one titration period or a medication switch incurs further cost. The clinician signs off a maintenance dose. Prescriptions go to the partner online pharmacy Signature or directly to the patient, and medication cost is not included.

Shared care

Published. At the post-titration follow-up (£200) the clinician reviews progress and sends the GP a follow-up letter including a shared care agreement proposal. While awaiting the GP's decision, patients buy repeat prescriptions at £40, and if shared care is rejected they can continue to do so. The clinic advises speaking to your GP about their shared care policy before booking.

What the fee covers

The assessment fee covers the appointment, a diagnostic decision, a full written report and a letter to the GP within 10 working days. Charged separately: treatment consultation £90, one-month prescription and titration from £145, post-titration follow-up £200 (which includes the shared care agreement proposal letter), repeat prescriptions £40, six-month reviews £200, and the medication itself. The clinic publishes an indicative total from £1,075 for the full adult journey and states it offers no payment plans.

The pathway they publish

Assessment format

Video consultation with an ADHD specialist following NICE guidelines. Pre-assessment forms must be completed in advance (for children, at least 48 hours before). The adult diagnostic assessment is 60 minutes and gives a diagnostic decision only; the child assessment is a 60-minute session on the same basis. Both include a full written diagnostic report within 10 working days, subject to amendments, and a letter to the GP.

Follow-up and review model

Published. A six-month review (£200, 30 minutes, letter to GP) is required for all patients on ADHD medication, regardless of shared care status, with separate booking routes for shared-care patients and for those on private prescriptions from MyPace.

Referral route

Self-referral through the clinic's online booking system, payment at the time of booking. The clinic states it is not an NHS Right to Choose provider.

Questions to ask them

  1. 1. Is the report accepted by my GP, and by an employer or university if I need it?
  2. 2. What happens if the assessment does not result in an ADHD diagnosis?
  3. 3. Are questionnaires, informant interviews or extra tests charged separately?

Our note on this provider

MyPace is an online-only private clinic that publishes its ADHD pathway as a sequence of separately priced steps, from a 60-minute diagnostic assessment through treatment consultation, titration, a post-titration follow-up that produces the shared care proposal, repeat prescriptions and six-monthly reviews. It publishes an indicative total for that journey, which is rare and useful when comparing providers whose headline assessment fee is only the first payment. Its adult assessment fee is among the lowest recorded here, while its assessment for children aged 6 to 17 is one of the highest, so the fee that matters depends entirely on who is being assessed. The clinic states plainly that it is not an NHS Right to Choose provider, does not offer payment plans, and that the diagnostic assessment gives a diagnostic decision only. It may suit an adult who wants a low-cost entry point and is comfortable with a fully remote service. Known unknowns: CQC has published no inspection report or rating for the provider, no waiting time is published, and the child pricing rationale is not yet explained on the site.
