Medication and titration
Yes. The doctor who assesses also leads the treatment plan and can prescribe. Titration is described as finding the right medication, formulation and dose, averaging three follow-up appointments and ranging from zero to eleven, with a follow-up advised every four weeks. Prescriptions are sent to two nominated pharmacies for home delivery.

Shared care
Published. The practice prepares a Shared Care Proposal for the GP for £150; if accepted, the GP continues prescribing on the NHS. It states acceptance is at the GP's discretion and that not all practices participate, and reports over 1,500 GP practices having accepted its ADHD shared care plans (its fees page says over 1,600).

What the fee covers
The assessment fee covers the assessment and the resulting report. Charged separately: titration follow-ups (adults £150 for 15 minutes or £335 for 30 minutes; under-18s £335), medication from the pharmacy at £100–£200 per month, six-monthly or annual reviews at the same follow-up rates, repeat private prescriptions at a £65 admin fee, and a Shared Care Proposal document for the GP at £150.

The pathway they publish
Assessment format
Seen by a doctor for the whole assessment. Questionnaires are completed beforehand; the assessment is a semi-structured DIVA interview alongside a general psychiatric assessment, and the psychiatrist establishes the diagnosis and can overrule DIVA scores on clinical grounds. Findings are summarised in a written report the patient can download and amend before it is finalised. Adult assessments run 60 minutes, extendable to 90 at clinical discretion; children and adolescents 90 minutes.

Follow-up and review model
Published. Because ADHD symptoms fluctuate, review appointments are required every twelve months for adults and every six months for children and adolescents. Adults book either a 15-minute brief follow-up (£150) or a 30-minute standard follow-up (£335); children are booked for a 15–30 minute session (£335). Follow-ups are not scheduled automatically — the patient books them.

Questions to ask them
- 1. Is the report accepted by my GP, and by an employer or university if I need it?
- 2. What happens if the assessment does not result in an ADHD diagnosis?
- 3. Are questionnaires, informant interviews or extra tests charged separately?

Our note on this provider
Berkeley Psychiatrists is a doctor-led private practice offering ADHD assessment for adults and for children and adolescents, either by video consultation or in person at its Harley Street clinic in London. Its published model is unusually explicit about cost after diagnosis: the assessment fee covers the appointment and report only, while titration follow-ups, six-monthly or annual reviews, repeat private prescriptions, medication from the pharmacy and a shared care proposal to your GP are each priced separately. That transparency makes it easier to estimate a first-year total than at providers who publish an assessment price alone. It may suit someone who wants a psychiatrist for the whole assessment and is willing to pay a higher headline fee for that. Useful questions to ask: which clinician you will see and whether their fee differs from the published figure, how many titration appointments are likely in your case, and whether your own GP practice is among those that have accepted the practice's shared care proposals. Known unknowns: the practice publishes no waiting time, and CQC has not yet inspected the registered Harley Street location, so no regulator rating exists to read.
